Dr. June Breninger, Professor of Psychology for Cascade College and former colleague of Gloria, stated: “I feel privileged to have known Gloria Sanders and to have had the experience of working with her during her years at Columbia Christian College. She was a great intellectual, as well as a great lover of people. Only the Lord knows the number of lives she has influenced through her teaching, mentoring and counseling.”
She was born Roberta Jones in Chicago, IL on May 26, 1918. She moved to Hollywood, CA in 1929 so that her stepmother could play the harp in the movies and in order to escape domestic abuse. Gloria attended Pepperdine University where she graded all the Greek homework and married one of her professors.
